Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your Fes riad or hotel around 8:30 AM. Depart for the Sahara Desert, home to the majestic Erg Chebbi sand dunes. This journey will take approximately 8 hours, leading you through the stunning Atlas Mountains and into southern Morocco’s largest oasis, Tafilalet, which consists of charming villages, palm groves, and the key towns of Erfoud and Rissani.
We’ll make several stops along the way:
Continue deeper into the desert landscape until the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes rise before you. Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodations at a hotel with a pool situated at the dune line of Erg Chebbi, providing a relaxing atmosphere for your first night in the desert.
Today, delve into the beauty of the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. We will tour the area, experiencing the nomadic lifestyle and the stunning contrasts of the desert landscape.
In the afternoon, embark on a camel ride to catch the breathtaking sunset over the dunes. Spend the night at a desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional tagine dinner, sip delicious mint tea, and be serenaded by traditional Berber music while gazing at the starry sky and the rising moon.
Awaken early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the sand dunes, casting mesmerizing shadows and colors across the landscape. Return to the desert hotel for breakfast before continuing to Tinghir and the stunning Todra Gorges, known as Morocco’s highest and narrowest gorges. Here, enjoy some leisure time for hiking or relaxing along the river while sampling local Berber delicacies.
Lunch will be served in the heart of the gorge, followed by a scenic drive through Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night at a charming hotel perched atop a mountain, offering stunning views.
After breakfast, embark on a journey along the famed Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, dotted with magnificent fortified houses. Ascend into the mountainous region via an off-road trail, passing Berber villages and nomadic families living in caves. You’ll have the opportunity to visit one of these families and observe their daily activities.
Marvel at the colorful landscapes of the Rose Valley before reaching the Skoura palm grove. After approximately 45 km, arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.
Enjoy breakfast before visiting the Taourirt Kasbah. Next, head to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning architecture and historical significance. Continue your journey to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and explore the Kasbah el Glaoui.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant in Telouet. Afterward, descend the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass on your way to Marrakech, where your remarkable 5-day desert tour comes to an end.

Beautiful trip to the desert. We made the path to the desert camp on a camel. In that place we spent the night. After dinner they offered a moment of music and dancing.
