We will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Casablanca to start our 8-day tour. First, we will visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque before continuing to Rabat, Morocco’s administrative capital, where we will explore the historic Hassan Tower. We then head towards Fes, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night in a traditional riad.
After breakfast, we will meet with a local guide for a full-day exploration of Fes, focusing on the ancient medina. You’ll visit key landmarks such as the Jewish Quarter, the Royal Palace, the bustling souks, and the famous tanneries.
We depart from Fes around 8:30 am, traveling through Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild monkeys. Afterward, we pass through the scenic Ziz Valley and Erfoud, a town known for its fossils, before arriving in the Merzouga Desert. Here, you’ll settle into your desert accommodation.
Today, we will explore the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, visiting a nomadic family and the seasonal Merzouga lake. You’ll also enjoy traditional Gnawa music in Khamlia village. Later, we visit some deserted mines and an oasis of palm trees. After lunch, return to the guesthouse to prepare for a camel ride through the dunes, capping off the day with a spectacular desert experience.
After capturing the sunrise in the desert, we return to the hotel for breakfast before departing for Dades Valley. Along the way, we pass through the Rissani souk and Erfoud, with its marble fossils, and continue through Jorf to reach the dramatic Todra Gorges, one of Morocco’s most breathtaking natural wonders.
